Whichever pad you end up choosing I recommend that you get a cutting, light cutting, and polishing pad in a small 4" size and have a few polishing and finishing pads in a larger size. Many PC users including myself find that 4" pads not only aid defect removal with abrasive polishes but also find them easier to get into tight spaces on the car. I personally have lake country pads and have only had one problem with them. I was using a 4" polishing pad and after 3 hours of polishing my car with PO85RD i went to take the pad off to wash it and the pad had fused with the backing plate.
