marko-I bet it was a very interesting interview. I saw the show about her on HBO and it was fascinating. It is hard to believe just 50 years ago we were still mostly segregated in the south...and it was legal.
I met Jesse Owens back in the mid 70's when he spoke at our high school. Imagine what he went through, winning 4 gold medals in the '36 Olympics and showing up Hitler, only to come back here and be a second class citizen. He gave a terrific speech then stayed and signed autographs for probably 800-900 kids.
