I have a newbie question re: LC Pad installation for the PC 7336. I bought an LC Starter Kit with a 5" backplate, and a full selection of pads. My question is, do these pads just velcro onto the back plate, or somehow, are they suppose to fit over top such as the pads in this article:

I have never seen a PC assembled with pads and backplate. I do not see why the pads are called hook and loop...what does the name mean?
