So - you don't recommend topping the NXT with anything else? Just two coats of the NXT as the ending layer?
Also, how often do you recommend that process?

This is going to be my Saturday project.

Thanks for all your help!!!
Hi C5-Deb,

To be honest, I haven't seen much reason to top NXT Tech Wax yet. I know a lot of people are doing this, but that's the norm around here. Take the black corvette I buffed out last week. I really don't think any other product placed over the top of the second coat of NXT was going to take the finish to a higher level. It was dark, clear, swirl-free and wet-looking as it was/is.

But, I'll leave it up to you.

If it were mine, I would apply two coats of NXT Tech wax and then maintain with washing and quick detailers. Apply a coat of Tech Wax whenever you want to insure the paint is at its maximum potential. Once a week, once a month, this should keep it looking it's best all the time, depends on how often you wash it and what you wash it with.

I would recommend any of the below,

Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner
NXT Car Wash
#00 Hi-Tech Wash

They are very slippery washes that are detergent free.

Best of luck and post some pictures when you're through.

Mike
