I completely agree. For one of my cars, durability isn't much of an issue because I'm CONSTANTLY tinkering with it....adding layers, spot claying, removing a blemish here and there. I've also done the synthetic/carnauba combo many times before and **IMO**, the glaze + carnauba shine just looks better to me.
Never tried Z-Carbon so I can't really give you an honest recommendation, but *MY* solution to a dilemma such as yours is to just buy both products and use them both. Part of my enjoyment in detailing is having a closet-full of products to choose from every weekend.
