Hi all

I have lurked a while and would ask your opinion

Newbie here....I am deciding between two 03 Subaru WRXs, black and a silver.

I drive 50 miles each way daily am very likely to move to a farm house 4 miles down a dirt road, (has an awesome barn/garage but that is another story!!)

I love the look of a black detailed car, hate the look of a dirty black car. Given the above can I ever keep a black car up to a reasonable standard and keep a life outside of detialing my car?

I have also read that the WRX silver is a harder paint as well.

Given everything else is equal which is a better practical choice, I have too many other things to do and cannot devote myself totally to the car..................... shame!! Do black cars actually get hotter than others in summer, is this soemthing I should be concerned about it MI?

Black knowing it will never look its best or silver which should be easier to keep at a more acceptable level.
