I have wet sanded most of my Porsche cars. The reason is that it is the only way to get a perfectly smooth finish. Mind you, I don't do the bumper caps or any other ABS plastic parts, because you can't repolish paint with the
flex agents. Also, I only cut about 1 mil off of the surface. If you go any further, by the time you repolish you don't have enough clear coat left and you lose depth.
I highly recommend having a pro do it unless you have experience.
