x2 on what Toyotaguy said. I am just a teenager and have already built up quite a nice clientele. My entire clientele are customers that found out about me by word-of-mouth. That being said, I have a Honda CRV tomorrow morning, just a wash, wax, interior for $100. Its a very well priced detail in my area.
OP, what you need to do is study your demographics, and find out what they are willing to pay for what service. Don't be afraid to charge what you think the work is worth. $25 for 1-2hrs of work is crazy, even as a special. I started out going cheap. But then soon realized that customers didn't mind paying $50-$100 just for a wash and vacuum.
