05 STi Correction

Been haveing trouble posting even with 10+ posts. Seems like it had something to do with the thread title. Anways, this is my first correction on my '05 Obsidian Black Pearl STi

I did this in the begining of March. Just joined the site and wanted to post this. If anyone is a member over on IWSTI you probably seen it.

Bought the car last July with close to 38k on it. Paint was pretty rough, being black it looked even worse. By the time I got done taking care of some other stuff on the car it was winter, so I waited until the weather broke to take care of the paint.

I used a PC with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish on a Detailers Doamain Green pad, really bad spots I used an Orange pad, Followed up with PO85RD on a blue pad. Topped off with Einszett Glanz.

First up I cleaned the engine with some Adam's APC. Dressed with Adam's VRT and some Einszett Vinyl/Rubber Protectant.

Before

After

Some foam action

Only clay pics that came out well. The real bad one was what it looked after each door. The other one was what it looked like on most other panels.

Passenger side rear door before

50/50

Rear door done, front untouched

Both doors done

Passenger front fender

50/50

Passenger quarter before

After

Spoiler side (sorry it's blurry)

After

Trunk was really rough.

After

Some pillar before and afters

Water beading while washing to get all the dust off

And some finished pics, didn't have time to get any real nice ones

I've always been a detail freak but this car sent me over the edge. Started lurking on here and reading up a lot and dove in head first. I'm pumped with how it turned out.

Looking forward to any thoughts/advice.

Mike
