Really depends on the paint.

If it's a metallic or pearl I wouldn't consider myself top notch, but there's really no room for improvement in those regards. Without atomizing the paint with a spray gun it's going to be very difficult to get the metallic touch up oriented to match the existing paint, and equally if not more unlikely with a pearl.
