I'm trying to figure out what your concern is here. If you truly thought it was funny, then you must think that others might not and that it would affect Todd's reputation. If that were true then you must be worried about Todd's reputation as a "so called high end detailer" so why then would you call him out on a public forum to let him know you think his post was immature? I suspect that you didn't really think his post was funny and that your real motivation is to let us all know that you would have handled it differently and therefore are more of a professional than he is. Of course, I could be wrong.

Lastly, I have to wonder why this thread hasn't been locked.
I can appreciate you sticking up for somebody you may or may not know because of your relationship through the forums. There is no need question Todd's maturity level. He posted what he posted and take it as you may, that's it. I never questioned it nor will I. But since you feel the need to support Todd, would it have been that much harder for him to PM the photo to a group instead of trying to clown the OP? If you feel the need to question my maturity level I encourage you to do so.

I want to start by saying that to say the absolute least it is truly embarrassing and just as frustrating being a young detailer myself to know that the OP of this thread chose to come to the US under the pretense of being someone else(IMO both his fault and the car owners for not clarifying who was who) and do less than admirable work not to mention without any kind of work clearance. He chose what he chose and it will eventually it will catch up to him somehow.

True automotive detailing to begin with is the type of work that is constantly deranged by individuals that are typically referred to as "hacks" on these boards. And while I'm not saying the OP is or isn't a "hack", I have no idea, I am saying it clearly would have been more appropriate to go about doing business in the US differently, not to mention a different choice when it came to the actual process on this car as shown by the damage done.

I speak for myself when I say I do not have a concern of anyone's reputation but my own. You build and burn your own bridges. Obviously I chose to go about it a different way as I sat back and let the thread unfold without any input allowing everyone who posted to show some true color be it "mature" or "immature". Would I have sat and made fun of a detailer in my area(or in online forums) who may have completely embarrassed himself or heavily tainted his career on these online boards from the quality of work or his professional decisions? Not a chance. Do I think individuals that put on the impression that they strive to be a completely professional mature detailer should have refrained from some of the comments and posts shown on these boards? Well, I know my personal choice. Before being a detailer, as an adult, is it considered professional or even adult-like to clown someone (especially someone younger than you) publicly? Does it look professional? I will continue to take the high road and continue to let this thread unfold.
