I can argue it both ways; half of my current vehicles were bought new, the other half used. But IMO new is more likely to provide complete peace of mind and it's nice to *not* have to do a major detail on something before putting it into service. |
Well here's my viewpoint on the used vs new scenario...
I like value. I don't mind spending money when I have to in order to get something of real value to me, rather than waste a small amount of money on junk.
When I look at a new car, I don't see value. I see a bad investment. The minute you drive it off the lot, it's lost thousands of dollars in value. That doesn't appeal to me. When I compare the cars I can afford new and the cars I can afford used, that further sours my mind towards new cars.
Ask me whether I'd have a used e46 330ci, or a brand spanking new Chevrolet Cobalt SS? Go on!
