Re: Brand_new_car_bought_with_swirls

Not surprised when dealer-prepped vehicles are marred up, that's why some of us insist on taking delivery "in the plastic" and/or refuse delivery when a vehicle has such issues. Live and learn; it's OK to be hard-nosed about this but you gotta do it before you accept the car.

Yeah, it's the dealer's responsibility to do the job right, but if that were likely they woulda done it right the first time.

Merlot and chargeragain- Welcome to Autopia, sorry to hear about your paint problems.

I haven't heard of Subie or Dodge clear being especially hard to correct, so it shouldn't be all *that* hard to DIY it if you folks can't find a good pro to do the job. If you could find a member here to do it and show you the ropes, that'd be the best way to go.

Yeah, KAIO is functionally nonabrasive on almost all paint, sure was on my Subarus.

If working by hand, there aren't all *that* many polishes that are both effective and efficient (time/effort-wise). Again, see if somebody here is in your area.
