The car is white with a lot of (smooth) black trim. What would you suggest to use to help keep this trim dark black? This includes mirrors, door handles, bumpers and side skirts. I have a small refill of forever black for the trim on my '96 328is, but I think I read that stuff is good for only textured trim, not smooth.
Black Wow Trim Restorer
Would any product be good to use on top of the DGPS3 on white? Or will that sealant be enough to keep the white looking sharp?
In my opinion, Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 looks great on it's own. You can apply multiple layers for a deeper shine and increased slickness. Many customers like to top with a wax to get a warmer glow. If you did top with a wax, I would suggest Pinnacle Signature Series II on white.
- The
headlights on this car are large, which means a large area of plastic to keep clean. What would be good to help keep these plastic lenses looking perfectly clear?
On my car I have plastic lenses as well but they are in rough shape... what would be good to use to restore those? I recently read about someone using
M105 - would that be OK? What kind of pad?
Diamondite Plasti-Care to maintain clarity of newer headlight lenses.
Diamondite Clear Plastic Kit for restoring headlight lenses in rough shape. You can try other products but this kit takes all the guesswork out of the process.
Wheels and tires. The CRV is clean and new, so I'll seal them with some Poorboys or something similar. Suggestions on a good value product?
Poorboy's Wheel Sealant does a great job. DP Wheel Glaze is also a great choice
I know P21S is highly recommended as a wheel cleaner, but holy crap it seems pricey. Any other good products that are lower in cost? What is the difference between the gel and regular as far as effectiveness?
The P21S Gel is actually designed to remain on the wheel for 15-45 minutes. Use the regular version if you want something faster. Both versions require agitation for best results. Another option that I use is DP Gel Wheel Cleaner.
My car's wheels have a lot of dark dots that I'd like to clean off if possible. Clay took care of some of it - what would help get rid of the rest?
Try claying once more and then use DP Wheel Glaze and a microfiber applicator.
And tire dressings - I like a mostly matte look with maybe some sheen. Suggestions?
Poorboy's Natural Look
With all of these categories I've read on what is "best", but often times that comes with a high price tag. So I'm hoping there are some good values that do a good job for a good price? (Yeah, who doesn't want that, right?)
Hopefully I was able to help out
Right now my autogeek shopping cart is quite large after just buying the
Wolfgang kit!!
I appreciate the help.
Thank you for the questions. We appreciate your business!
