I'm not against "partial birth abortion", but believe it or not, I'm opposed to abortion of any kind, yet for me, I still would support Obama (for a variety of reasons) but on this issue let me explain.
For me, the issue is not abortion (even when discussing abortion), the issue is "life" and what it means to you.
I have two childern, God willing I'll have a few more. I love my children more than I love anything, part of that stems from my love for life, all life. So here is where you and I probably differ...
I disagree with both Republicans and Dems on the issue of "life". Why?
Well, how, as a republican can you be screaming (on the one hand) about how "sacred" life is, and then on the other hand, you're out with a sign in front of a jail screaming "put the murderer to death". Huh???
What happened to the "sanctity" of life? Would Jesus have screamed "put the murderer to death"? In the same way, Dems are hypocritical in reverse. Pro-choice and anti-death penalty. That's why I am not a "party guy".
I support life, which means I am anti-death penalty, but again, I think Obama really nails is when he says... "nobody is pro-abortion".
I'll also add that I do have a bit of flexibility in my view in cases of rape, incest and where a mother's life is in peril.
