These are getting really old. Like the Repbulicans don't have any accusations of voter fraud, etc. Both parties use tactics to get out the vote
for their party. Sometimes questionable tactics are used. Both parties get endorsements from people/organizations they wish would just shut up. Both parties...well, whatever. If you can find me a politician who has never kissed up, hobnobbed, accepted contributions from, or made sure money flowed somewhere, I guarantee you've found a politician who's never been elected to anything. When you get into who's met who, who's vacationed with who, who's accepted money from who, you're going to find plenty of mud from either side.
Were John McCain and his family flown to the Carribean for a vacation by Charles Keating, who later went to jail for fraud, conspiracy and racketeering? Did Obama get a sweetheart real estate deal from Rezko? Does Obama know a guy who was a domestic terrorist? Does Palin sympathize with secessionist groups who espouse terrorist-style violence?
A guy who was my friend in high school turned out to be a wife-beater. Does that reflect on me? Another guy I went to HS with is a cop, I got a ticket one time and he offered me a "get out of jail free" card (PBA or some such) that I could use in the future, if I took it would that make me corrupt? Am I corrupt because he offered it? Is he? It's easy demonize people.

Truth in fact is that either party will lead us. Sometimes well and sometimes not so well but that is the way it works. Sadly, political elections have turned away from issues in past years and concentrate more on negative ads. This is not unique to any party as there are glaring examples on both sides. Sadly for us, this has been demonstrated to be an effective way to win elections.

And the problem with a campaign of personal attacks is that it causes, fear, resentment, and hatred, and after the election is over...you wind up with the partisan BS that we have, instead of a body of concerned representatives trying to work together for the good of the country. Both candidates pledged not to take the low road they are now on in this campaign.
EDIT: And since race has been mentioned in several of the recent posts, I'll say that I'd rather hear someone say they aren't voting for McCain because he's an old white guy and they're not, or they aren't voting for Obama because he's black, then hear them say they're voting the way they are because of some BS sound bite buzz word created by a marketing hack in the campaign. I think being a bigot is something to be more proud of than being someone who regurtitates negative-campaign nonsense, at least when you're a bigot you're regurgitating your own nonsense.
