Would it be safe to use?

Your best bet is to ask the shop who painted it. This way, if you do wax it and something happens to need fixing, there won't be any fingers being pointed. Usually 30-60 days is a safe time to wax. In the meantime, you can use a glaze such as 3M Imperial Hand Glaze.

Quick Detailer is not wax, but some do have waxes in them. Something like DP Final Gloss would be safe to use. This will just enhance gloss and slickness, but there are no protective properties.
