It's not a stupid question. But why does it matter where he was born? We are a nation of immigrants, does anyone here except the American Indians among us claim that they don't have ancestry born outside of this country?
A legitimate reason for asking this is the US birth requirement for the office of President. I can't say the Democratic party hasn't done plenty of stupid stuff, but nominating someone to run for president for their party,
who can't legally do so would be taking the cake, don't you think?
