You can argue that we have not had a domestic attack but we have lost 4000+ serviceman in Iraq (more than lost in 9/11) and 30,000 more wounded. I think that warrants some note.

I am not soley blaming Democrats but they had a part in this crisis, much of this can be tied to Clinton and his easing of lending restrictions and Democrats push for predominantly more low income minorities to be able to buy houses even with bad credit and low income. John McCain also pushed a Bill that would regulate Fannie May and Freddie Mac as well as add regulation and investigation into other major lenders as he saw this could be an issue in 2005, it was shot down in Congress. Barrack Obama received one of the highest contributions from FM and FM as well as other Democrats. I wonder why the bill was shot down. It amazes me when people actually think Obama is somehow better suited to deal with the economy and the crisis when he has offered absolutely nothing nor seems all that concerned and he has no real record or experience dealing with economic issues or passing economic policy that has worked. He has no record on the economy yet many who are mezmerized by his speeches believe he has all the answers even though he has zero record or credibility on the economy. I don't blame the Bush Administration for my woes and problems or Americas problems because I know it is not their fault and I am not one of these people that just blames Bush for all my mistakes or why gas prices are high or why I got a flat tire. I do believe the Bush Administration has done a poor job with illegal immigration and should have worked harder to make sure there is a secure border fence and kicking out illegals even though it is going to cause him hispanic votes if he gets tough on illegal immigration.
We have not had another attack because the number one priority after 9/11 was to secure America and make sure we were not attacked again, this meant doing some things that many Dems were against and fought but it has kept us safe. Instead of being on the defence we are also on the offence in Afghanistan and Iraq. 4000 soldiers have died but they died fighting and killing thousands of Al Qaeda instead of just being innocent unarmed victims like in 9/11. Al Qaeda has to attack Americans in Iraq and Afghan because they can't really hit America anymore and they are usually killed after attacking the US military. It does not matter whether we are in Afghanistan or Iraq, we are still fighting and killing thousands of terrorists and destroying their networks and top leadership, it is better then fighting them in the US. If Iraq and Afghanistan are ridded of most terrorist, become Democracies, and have thriving economies they will be a lesson to the middle east and their citizens will want what Iraq and Afghan have which will lead to less terrorists and terrorism. Having 2 major allies in the war on terror is a major step to reforming the middle east. The President is not going to have the luxury of just debating whether we should have gone into Iraq or not, he is going to have to lead with the current situation in Iraq and what needs to be done now, not what he thinks should have been done, Obama wants to give up, give a date no matter what and cut tail and run in a short amount of time no matter what the consequences which will be Iraq taken over by terrorists and Iran and the US most likely having to go back fight another war, McCain wants to and helped put forth the surge to win and make sure Iraq does not fall into the wrong hands and we never have to go back and fight again. I will take McCains leadership on Iraq/Afghanistan and the economy any day over the inexperienced and untested Obama and is just only able to make good "speeches" about subjects but has zero record of accomplishing anything in those empty "speeches" and promises.
