You can gently and lightly apply a pure carnauba wax (WITH NO CLEANERS) over a synthetic for a layering effect, to get the best of both worlds. I would recommend using something like Pinnacle or P21S wax as they are extremely easy to use, and 100% pure with no cleaners. If you really want an extremely deep, wet look...Wolfgang Fuzion is the way to go, hands down.
