There is no "best" wax or sealant to use. In terms of which will protect the best, a synthetic will be your best bet.

Carnaubas will look better - you'll get more depth, wetness, and a more overall rich "glow" from the paint due to certain oils in the waxes. Synthetics will tend to last longer and provide more of a shiny surface without as much richness, due to the use of polymers and not as much oils. I prefer Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, as it's the only sealant IMO that can provide the richness of a carnauba and the durability of a sealant - on top of that, it's extremely slick and easy to use.
