Thanks for the advice! I will talk to autogeek about the backing plate. I was really surprised this thing started coming apart. I have never had an issue like this. I will say the heat build up with the 4" pad was significantly more than with the PFW pads. I have never experienced my PC generate that much heat with a foam pad. I also had just placed an order with Patrick and set him an e-mail to see if he could include the backing plate you suggested. If I can't get it in on this order I guess I will have to place a seperate order. I really dont get why autogeek would put the smaller backing plate in the kit if it is not the proper one for the 4" pads. That kinda frustrates me...
