Whats the correct procedure with applying ppp and removing using UDM

Ok so im going to be detailing my show car here shortly and ive done a few small spots on other cars previously but i will be doing my entire car at this point. I have an UDM with paint prep plus as my polish. I have the orange swirlbuster pad and the blue polishing pad. When applying the ppp ill do speed 4 as recommended until it leaves a haze/film. I am a little unclear if i buff this with a buffing cloth, and then apply more ppp with the blue pad, then buff, or if i just go straight to the blue pad and then buff once ive ran over the haze/film on a lower speed. I know the blue is supposed to be a finishing pad so i want some clarification on what works best for the best possible shine. thanks
