I'm thinking of putting some light tinted film on my taillights, similar to this.

I'm wondering if I ever remove it becuase I get tired of it, will it leave a real messy residue that would be hard to remove? Has anyone tried this stuff and remove it before? I'd hate to end up potentially causing damage to the light by having to use something strong to remove the residue.
