Those who adjust the colors of their shots here at least do before and afters under halogens or sun-since paint correction is more important IMO than whether or not the color has been somewhat manipulated. Take Todd for example. Sometimes the colors look a little too saturated but it is obvious from the before and afters the paint is properly corrected. That is a lot more honest than taking before shots with halogens and afters in the shade.

FWIW I will sometimes adjust the brightness or sharpness of the compasistion but I very rarely will adjust the saturation or contrast. Nikon's take very vivid, color rich photo's.
