If to compensate for poor exposure, no problem. Personally though, I post them how they come out of my camera, just no way to accurately adjust the shots without the car and exact lighting in front of me as I do it.
Those who adjust the colors of their shots here at least do before and afters under halogens or sun-since paint correction is more important IMO than whether or not the color has been somewhat manipulated. Take Todd for example. Sometimes the colors look a little too saturated but it is obvious from the before and afters the paint is properly corrected. That is
a lot more honest than taking before shots with halogens and afters in the shade.
