Re: Need Drying Towel Recommendations

Okay guys.....

First, thanks a bunch for the suggestions. My preference always comes to something I can get locally, if it works well. So, today I went out and bought the aforementioned Mainstays Waffle Weave from Wal-Mart and the VROOM from Target. I then went out to a car that I bought that has been sitting forever and has a nice crust of dirt all over it. The car is shot, and this would be an excellent test for the QEW that I had left (I haven't ordered my ONR yet) and my new towels.

I started with the hood first to have a nice flat surface to start with. My wife took the VROOM towel, and I took the smaller Mainstays waffle weaves. I got it really wet with my mitt and the dirt was running down the car. Then I took one half and my wife took the other, and the VROOM won hands down. Same with vertical surfaces as well. The VROOM towel is awesome. One pass and let it dry, and it worked streak free. Now, on the windows, it did tend to streak a little, but I just used my new waffle weaves to get them looking nice and streak free.

So, it looks like I'll be running back up to Target and buying their VROOM towels for the paint, and Wal-Mart to get the waffle-weaves for the glass and touch-ups.

For those of you that recommended the VROOM towels, my question is how do you dry them? They have washing instructions, but no mention of how to dry them, and I don't want to mess them up at $8 a towel. So, how do you dry them?

Thanks again! I'm sure the other suggestions were good, and maybe even better, but I love being able to run out and get something if I need it.
