1. How did you wind up at Autopia? well someone on another forum was posting pics of detailed cars he'de done from here so i clicked and browsed.
Same for me.
2. What do you like most about detailing? the thing i like the most about it is that it's time to myself and relax with my car and helps to reduce stress.
Same for me. Plus, a great detail job can make even the least expensive cars stand out and get a stare.
3. What are your favorite products/processes and why?well i'm still working on it, kinda new to detailing but i like the
clay bar cause it removes stuff i din't even know was there
I too love the clay bar step. Beyond that, I'm excited about getting better with Menzerna polishes and Ultrafina with the PC.
4. What's your dream car and why? Honda S2000 because i love hondas and it's affordable
Aston Martin Vanquish - hand built, any color you want, beefy looking, and elegant at the same time.
5. What's the best thing you learned on Autopia?
Many things: 95% of the products I use now are not OTC. two bucket method / foam gun / polish with less product, pressure, and with more time(PC) / sealants vs waxes /ONR / get into the wheel wells and behind the rims / and on and on
6. What are some of your other hobbies and interests?
snowboarding / skateboarding / concerts / guitar hero / rockband / halo
7. Do you have any pets?
one talkative cat
8. Name three secret techniques that you think you should share to fellow Autopians.
prob not a secret - but I cut my clay bars into forths so I start fresh every time.
9. Where are you from and where do you live now?
Born in boston, raised and live in Boston.
10. What was you first car and what got you interested in keeping cars perfect?
I've yet to have 'my own car' they've all been company cars.
11. What motivates you to detail? i like to see people turn there heads when i drive by.
Same. Plus, I like being outside. My fiancee likes to watch and help!
12. Would you ever pay someone else to detail your car?
Absolutely!!! I go straight to rydawg and rickrack.
13. Does detailing run in the family at all, or are you the only normal one?
Yes. My brother and bro-in-law are big on detailing, but I have far surpassed them by reading this site. They're the guys with the money and racing experience.
14. What is your favorite part about detailing?
Wiping off the car to see what happened underneath. (Especially if there is plenty of light left outside!!)
15. If detailing is a hobby for you, would you like to do it full time, or do you feel that it would take the fun out of it? it is a hoby fot now but i don't think it would take the fun out of it cause every car is a diferent situation.
It would not take the fun out of it. I think doing interiors and complex wheels would scare me off quickly.
