We have recently identified the cause of an overheating issue. The problem we found with the units was that the insulation washer was not installed on the backing plate. This causes the rivets to hit the guard and the machine over-heats. Something you might check to make sure.

As far as our location, our warehouse is located within ARC of San Diego but we don't have staff on site. I am actually out in Apple Valley so it would be tough to check out your machine.
