Matt, you can contact your own insurance company and have the damage fixed under your comprehensive coverage they will get your vehicle fixed in a timely manner at a place of your choosing and subrogate the charges back to the woman's insurance company. You have to pay your deductible up front but you will get that back during the subrogation. No need to even put up with that other companies BS.
Call your agent and discuss this with him.
Chitown is a bad place for sure. Besides some of the worst roads in the country they are not built to handle the amount of traffic. Chicago drivers are by-in-large very uncourteous probably in large part because of the horrendous traffic problems they face daily. When the roads are not as congested, the drivers are more courteous, IMO.
I just drove from Cape Coral, FL to Milwaukee, WI and can say that I thought the most courteous drivers were in Georgia and Tennessee. Specifically, I found the drivers in and around Atlanta, Chattanooga and Nashville to be very courteous, FWIW. |
