| Re: Lawn Care *Mower: Honda recycler, at least 10 years old. Blades sharpened every spring at a minimum.
*Every 6 - 9 days depending on need, on highest setting which is about 2.5".
*Lawn: mixture of KBG, rye, and fescue. Will overseed this spring with a shady mix from Seedland.com. We have a lot of shade.
*Fertilizer: Scotts with Tupersan (selective preemergent crabicide) in April, half dose of Milorganite every 2 - 3 weeks through June, then back off.
*Water: shooting for 1" per week including rainfall. We have very sandy soil, so watering is an absolute must. I try to verify water addition with cat food cans.
I aerated for the first time last fall, may do it again this spring? adjulian, whether you choose a thatch rake or a power thatcher depends on the size of your yard. A half an acre with a manual thatch rake will kill you!
