removal of interior headliner panels

I have a 97 Buick LaSabre and want to replace the sail panels that are by the rear window. I don't know if that is the correct term, they are seperate from the headliner and are on each side of the rear window over the headliner. They have become frayed and want to recover them. I dont know how they are attached or if I need a special tool ? I also have a sunvisor that needs recovering, but dont know if all the plastic pieces have to come off first. Thanks for any advice.
