The reason it is one of the pictures (which is why I am assuming you asked) is as Brian made his way around the paint, the pad would stick (SIP is made for harder paint and can grab at softer paints on occasion) so OP was used to "cut" the SIP and keep it slick.

Have you tried Blackfire SRCC? I've used this on newer 3-series black paint, and it didnt grab like SIP does.
Great job on another great italian. These are the nicest 4-drs on the planet, imho, even over a Bentley. Best black detail Ive seen in awhile!
