OK, higher reps didn't work for me either until my mid-40s. I will say that I get a big cardio effect from higher reps of heavy movements though, nothing else seems quite the same. But yeah, form is the most important thing IMO, especially for movements like the squat. And yeah, flexibility work gets overlooked by too many people.
