| Re: Remote start systems? [LURKER OFF]
Hello, first post here. (registered just to reply to this) I have been installing alarms, remote starts for over 15 years (independant shop,) that being said.
As stated DEI is top notch, BUT, install is everything. I have put them all in over the years, DEI is the most installer and user friendly. I won't name no names but a few of them I wouldn't put on a ex-girlfriends car if you get what I mean. The options can be near endless if you want to pay for them. Only thing you might need to keep in mind is you 'might' lose a key, depending on your car & what brand name they will use. But 99% of the companies have overcome this. A basic system (car dependent) can start at $199, thats just starting the vehicle. You can option up to full alarm, windows up & down, sunroof open & close, 2 way systems, starter, satellite based (phone your car from a plane and start it) ending up well over a grand.
Just ask the installer questions, make him your friend.
