You and me both buddy! My next ride is an early 90's red NSX 5MT. I'm keeping a close eye on the market and you can get a decent condition one (with higher miles) for the high-$20's.

To my knowledge, I am the third owner, and the second owner (who had it since 2002) did not drive it in the winter. I cannot find any rust on the body or undercarriage. Now that the car is here in Arizona permanently, the car is not likely to ever rust out -- at least while it's under my ownership.

Glad you can relate! The styling is dated and the car is definitely "old school," but there's just something about that still makes it difficult to let go of.

Right you are. I don't have definitive production numbers (nobody has been able to source them yet) but the vast majority of 3rd generation Preludes were sold as either S (carbureted), Si, or Si ALB (anti-lock-brake) versions. The highest trim levels in 1990 and 1991 were the Si 4WS and the Si ALB. I guess most people opted for safety over corner-cutting ability . Interesting also to note that this car has NO cup holders and NO air bags.

I totally agree. It's a shame it never caught on like Honda hoped it would. Maybe it was too expensive to produce? Dunno.

I've gotten even a little more insane with this project over the last couple of days...

Scrubbed and painted (black) wheel wells -- can't really see it here.

Cleaned trunk.

Waxed around the trunk opening.

Waxed door jambs.

This is starting to get obsessive . LOL
