Then again, we are talking about someone who is just getting their license. Any car is going to cost more.
The best thing to do would be to get added to your father's insurance and have him co-sign on the car. It isn't going to make as much of a difference in insurance price based on the car then.
Of course, all of this depends on the insurance company, where you live and your situation. Sometimes the type of car makes a huge difference and in some cases, the type of car really doesn't make a difference.
Best thing to do would be to call around and ask what the difference would be. We don't really kow your situation, so we can't make a good judgement.
Some people are just more fortunate. Doesn't make any less of a respectful person just because they drive a $50K+ car at 16. Their attitude about it make them more or less of a respectful person. If they beat the crap out of the car and don't respect what their parents bought them, then hate them. But if they are just driving it and respecting it, good for them. I hate people hating on young people based solely on the fact that they drive an expensive car. You don't know them as a person just by looking or hearing about them driving an expensive car. Like I said, some peopel are more fortunate. Big deal, get over it. (This isn't directed just at you but to all people who think like that.) (Disclaimer - My parents didn't have money to buy me a car. I had to restore a '83 F-150 so I could drive a 16.)
Dude, if you can afford the A4, go for it. Just respect the car and take care of it. Check around for the best insurace for a car like that and also see what it would be for a type of car like the Civic SI or something. Make your decision then. |
i would agree, man, my brother-in-law had a BMer Z3 bc he had the means to pay for it, not his parents...i can't talk tho, my car my parents bought, it's no Audi, but it's still a car of some kind...
