Audi's are definitely not cheap on insurance, that is what the deal breaker always was for me. (Note this was when my driving record wasn't the greatest, but compared to other cars it was still higher) I would look at something like a Honda or a domestic.

As for car manufacturers offering insurance, they're in the business to make cars not insure them..They could care less what you do with the car after it is off their lot. Car insurance is based on alot more than just the pricing of parts, since you are a minor it will be more for you given your limited driving experience and how much of a liability you are. Don't get me wrong cost of parts does play a role, but there are other determining factors....I would shop around for car insurance. Like I said, I didn't have the cleanest record but my tickets have been dropping off...I had my insurance re-evaluated to see if I could get it cheaper through another company and it went from $250 a month to $130 a month for full coverage.
