I absolutely agree with all you said
I wanted to see how it all worked out, and how my combo compared with your setup, and while not perfect with what I have, it's pretty good, not to mention helluva fun
I may try mixing a little "photo-flo" (wetting agent by kodak, used as final rinse in film development) with distilled water as a final rise - the hose-sheeting method hasn't worked too well for me.
