UPPP is not picky about a hand polish foam pad. You can also use a microfiber pad if you want a little more bite.

The basic UDM kit comes with everything, including a basic foam pad. The pad that comes with it is a good polishing pad, and will work okay with UPPP. The SwirlBuster pad is more agressive at removing swirls, yet it finishes out at full gloss.

When using Ultima, you can use microfiber bonnets to remove the UPPP. You won't have much need for additional pads unless you get a scratch. In this case, a 4" spot pad is the best tool.
