Paint correction is a term that is used to describe the process of restoring and rejuvenating the paintwork of a vehicle, mostly through the elimination of surface imperfections, that dull, oxidize, or haze the surface. Paint correction and polishing involve the reduction or removal of marks in the top surface layer of the paint to produce a more refined finish. This creates the clarity, gloss and shine. It's the most time-consuming and labor intensive part of our auto detailing process.
Paint decontamination is the removal of fallout and environmental embeded contaminants that are on the paint surface. Contaminants allow additional debris to gather and have an exponential damaging affect. Paint contamination will degrade the clear coat over time. A fully decontaminated surface is the proper way to prepare the vehicle. This allows the Last Step Protection (LSP) to fully bond to the paint surface. Regardless of the LSP (wax, sealant or ceramic coating) protection you choose for your vehicle, it will bond MUCH better to a 100% clean surface.
